Professor Fozdar said 35 per cent of those with flags felt people had to be born in Australia to be truly Australian, while 23 per cent believed that true Australians had to be Christian, compared with 22 per cent and 18 per cent respectively for the non-flag group.Basically the professor thinks that a healthy expression of patriotism, nationalism, and pride in one's own ethnic group is racist, i.e. evil. (The fact that surveys like this are not done, or at least not given such wide publicity, in non-white world lends credence to the statement that anti-racist means anti-white.)
"Very clear statistical differences in attitudes to diversity between those who fly car flags and those who don't, show that flag waving − while not inherently exclusionary – is linked in this instance to negative attitudes about those who do not fit the 'mainstream' stereotype'," she said.
In any case, some of our Australian friends aren't too happy with Professor Fozdar.
A PERTH professor whose study found people who fly Australian flags on their cars are more racist than those who don't, says she has received over 70 critical emails which include demands that she go back to her "own country".Hard to see on what grounds this ingrate can be "shocked"; she comes to a country, makes a good living there, and then rhetorically shits all over its people. She clearly belongs back in a less racist country like her native Brunei.
Brunei-born University of WA Professor Farida Fozdar, who moved to Australia when she was seven, said she was shocked by the national reaction to her study which also spread as far India and the United States.
Is "flied" a word?
ReplyDeleteGuess not... corrected.
DeleteYes, if you're talking about baseball.

DeleteI printed out an Australian Flag to tape to the inside of my car window on Australia Day. It's so snowy up here, and so dirty from the sanded roads, that no one would have been able to see it unless I took my car to the auto-wash.
ReplyDeleteIn any case I completely forgot. I am a bad Australian. Probably because I've never even been in the Southern Hemisphere.
Anyway, would have been a funny visual gag to take a photo of a car covered in snow, with a big ostentatious Southern Cross flag, and the date in the caption. (Australia Day must certainly be one of the hottest days of the year on that continent, right?) Nobody would have gotten it.
"Australia's the land of big throwing machetes and awesome beer, right?" If anybody asks me that I'll tell 'em: "Naw, Australia's the land where people where hats on their feet, and the hamburgers eat people."
While I'm babbling incoherently, I'd like to note that the Brazilian firearms industry appears to have designed a weapon specifically for the Australian market. Since non-repeating shotguns are still obtainable without special permission, the Brazilians invented a short-barreled over-under with rifle sights! Called the Outback. Don't know how it sells.
Over here we have people telling us that Australia Day (which was Jan 26) should properly be called 'Invasion day' and it is always used by a plethora of groups as a day for saying how much we hate the English and white Australians, how we should be a republic, etc
ReplyDeleteAustralians as a rule are one of the more nationalistic and racist of all the Anglosphere countries (I consider that a good thing!). How the heck is PC so advanced over there? They make their national living in the mining industry, yet the elect a Labour government that wants to decapitate said industry. I am flummoxed.
ReplyDeleteYou're on to something there DoC. But considering Australia and nationalism is far too depressing if not distressing.
ReplyDeleteThere is a a complete disconnect between our media, academic and political class from your average White Australian.
You should have seen the build up to Oz Day. It seemed rather than daily but hourly that a new article was published denouncing all White Ozzies, the national as shamefully racist, and all of us as inherently, racially even, racist.
The week culminated in that fiasco in Canberra. What a debacle. I hold no hope whatsoever for my country. I'm not defeatist just a realist. If I can say it (haven't had a beer so that does not motivate me) my country is absolutely fucked. In all senses of the word.
As Tanstaafl says, we are not going to vote our way out of this. That worries me but it is the fact.
btw, contrary to popular opinion, mining only accounts for 10% of national production. It is heavily technology based and not labour intensive. There is a big push by industry and government for overseas people to fill the vacancies. Both left and right treat this place like it is simply one big hole in the ground to be exploited.
As I said, the place is fucked.
The Condor Outback seems to be the shotgun he is referring to.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I prefer my Mossberg 500 pump, but then I don't live in Australia any more.
Mr. Managan, I just want to encourage you a little bit. Your blog is great. You are my voice in blogsphere you and Sailer. I always agree with your points. They are simple and obvious in showing PC-ness as what it is. Which is why I wish you would perhaps consider getting involved in a GOP race in California (i understand why u wouldn't but if you could make arguements like this which are so non-controvercial that they can't even be called racist by the left to the voters I think you could suprise yourself with how good you'd do). Just a thought. The point is: one of us us people who've read Steve Sailer or your blog or vdare has got to get in Congress.
ReplyDelete"one of us us people who've read Steve Sailer or your blog or vdare has got to get in Congress."

Other than Buchanan's three Presidential runs, how many paleocons have ever bothered to even try to get elected to national office?
Mostly, they seem content to write articles for Chronicles, TAC, VDARE, TOQ and Takimag from now till doomsday.
(Or, in the case of us smaller fry, leave anomymous comments.)
Hanagan. I thought Australia had ok prospects? It can't be that bleak? Atleast your not importing Africans or are you? Managan or someone should do reports on the prospects of each white country in the next 25, 50, 75, 100 year window (when france becomes muslim, etc.).
ReplyDeleteHeh, you haven't heard about the racist attacks by "youfs" screaming kill whitey, have you. There are plenty of Somalis, it seems.

Australia is truly a shit hole now.
Australia is no where near as far gone as the USA (as a traditionalist Australian who has lived in both countries. The average white Australian is solidly conservative in a commonsensical way, and there is indeed a huge disconnect between the academic elite and the general population. Luckily, it looks like Labor will not be voted in again for a long, long time - the current government being possibly the least popular in the nation's history.
ReplyDeleteElite liberalism does not seem to have penetrated the general population of Australia as badly as it has in the US (with the exception of some issues, ie gun control), and I find the Australian people to be the most solidly, quietly (never extreme) conservative in the Anglosphere.
We have virtually 1% blacks in this country, and have been lucky in that our only signifiant minority are East Asians (at about 15%), who integrate better than other groups and cause less trouble.
I have a lot more hope for Australia than the UK (the worst by a long way), USA, or Canada. We are currently significantly richer than Americans ($66 000 nominal gdp per capita in 2012 as opposed to the low fifties for the US and high thirties for the UK) and we are still doing far better economically than any other Western nation.
Given the unprecedented hatred and unpopularity people hold for the present govt, I look foward to many years of tolerable centre-right government for many years to come (as with the 12 straight years we got with John Howard).
Looking at the comments on the newspaper articles reporting the study, my faith in the Australian people was renewed -- literally every single one was strongly negative, ranging from ridicule to real anger.
Anonymous, having checked with my sources it seems you aren't a troll of my acquaintance so, no, Oz has shit prospects, depending on which perspective you take.
ReplyDeleteYes, we are importing all variety of Blacks. What Blacks are there? Whatever ya got we're gonna take 'em!
We are the cum dump of the Pacific. The rat faced, feral based, White trash race of all that ya got to give us.
We'll scurry about, saying "sorry" to Abos, say sorry to some Chinese, forgot to let in the Jews in WWII, we're nothing but sorry. The sorriest people that ever inhabited any isle. If you dropped the milk in the kitchen we'll say sorry for that too.
You'll find us down the back of aisle 13 in the hardware house, prostrate and pointing north to Allah too. There's not a thing that we won't do. Fuck our kids? No worries. Give it to my wife too!
Ozzies are the weakest, healthiest, abortionist, strapping fit, keen as mustard, feminist, whatever idiot idea you got we'll take it, sort of "guys" on earth.
Diggers all, we're all digging our grave for you. See a spot, we'll dig a hole so long as the wage is right. Fair days work for a fair day's pay! Hard working Australian families is wot we're all about.
We have wymins in the armed forces, a female PM, we got sluts and skanks, drive by shootings, we got gang bangs, random bashings. We can match the best of America and beat it too. It's all too here, we see achallenge and we'll beat that too.
Faced with a problem we gather about, in whispering huddles, call in the union rep to set us straight, maybe take an OH&S walk, someone ring the insurance company, someone else contact the council. We are group think, a collective, mates! Crocodile Dundee, myth bagging at the Uni and lectures. Ther's nothing we won't tax. If there could be a national swear jar we'd implement that too. Imagine how much money could be raise on top of grog tax, cigarettes, GST, excise on and on the best would be a big fucking Jar off the side of Lord Howe which we could all drop a coin every time we say god damn fucking cunt but this place is getting fucked!
Oh, well. I think you get the idea. That's enough.
As an Aussie, I can confirm the above is unfortunately 100% true.
ReplyDeleteI wish we were, in reality, similar to the romantic version most americans have of us.
I agree with the Anonymous who suggested you enter politics, Dennis. Obviously, there are tons of reasons why you wouldn't want to, but you are a) already comfortable acting under your real name, and b) very good at intelligently and clearly making common sense points from a racial perspective.
ReplyDeleteYou should at a minimum hook up with your local chapter of American Third Position. I understand that they are quite active in California.
I dunno Pat. I read an article recently about the Blacks who ganged up on some White Australian kid. They were openly described as of African origin, as Black, and the crime as racially motivated. None of those facts would've seen print in an American paper.
ReplyDeleteThe situation Pat describes is dire, and America is further down the slope. I wonder how many such observers, even those of us inhabiting the dank recesses of the alt-right, really yet feel those cold, black fingers easing around our neck. How many are starting to actually taste that bright coppery fear on their tongue. I wonder for how many the notion has emerged that this isn’t just academic…isn’t just message-board bullshitting. That we, our culture, our people, our civilization are truly in mortal danger—and the knowledge isn’t going to pass with the typical anesthetic of a football game and six-pack.
ReplyDeleteI hope the answer to these questions is a great many. Because I’m not particularly worried about the deleterious effects of “despair porn.” I want people to start grasping the stakes. And I hope that doing so scares the shit out of them…perhaps even to the point of turning off American Idol and picking up their pitchforks.
Here’s what some Japanese sushi chef named “Sun Tzu” had to say about the motivating effects of despair:
Confront them with annihilation, and they will then survive; plunge them into a deadly situation, and they will then live. When people fall into danger, they are then able to strive for victory
Sun Tzu is actually Chinese, from the Warring States period.

ReplyDelete"To Fozdar, who prefers to think of herself not as a simple Australian – and she is very, very simple, mind you – but as a much-hyphenated “Indian-American-Bruneian Baha’i in ‘multicultural’ Australia”, our wide, brown cesspit of prejudice and intolerance has been rather generous.
Extraordinarily generous, actually, given that one of her academic interests is “Sperm milkshakes with poo sprinkles”."

I would rather vote for Romney and hope he keeps his promises. The Japanese had the fanaticism and willpower but ended badly. The good news was that their little island could remain racially homogeneous and safe for their values and traditions. Indeed, they later evolved into an economically successful democracy exactly because of their lack of pluralism. The average American is presently waving in the wind because the culture wars leave the masses of semi-literates unsure of a direction. They fear the label"racist" and cower before the attacks by leftist crazies. The GOP horse race is a case in point, for all candidates are imperfect. Romney, if he is not lying, could navigate this morass and defeat the mortal enemy golfer and basketball player with socialist dreams. There would be an era of regrowth and improved quality of life until the next Marxist comes along. The meme of perfect equality won't go away easily but science is on our side. Culture wars cannot be erased overnight but persistant failure to achieve equal outcomes compared to China's much easier single race route will someday become a political deadweight.
ReplyDeleteI think the point made above about science being on our side is very important. The Left likes to portray the nationalist white right as a bunch of primitives, driven by religious mysticism, "clinging to their guns and bibles". This stereotype is then dangled derisively in front of millions of impressionable adolescents, as a means of luring them away from their real interests and into the swelling ranks of the useful idiots.
DeleteThe myth of human biological equality is fundamental to this Leftist house of cards, and without it, it's hard to see how any other aspect of their program can be sustained. Their biggest nightmare must be that the cold, scientific truth will break through, and that their ideology will be exposed as itself a form of magical thinking, perpetrated not (as on the Caricature Right) by sincere and well-meaning Evangelicals, but by a gang of ruthless liars from the Frankfurt School, who knew exactly what they were doing and saying all along.

Addressing the important problem in Africa.
Note this part:
Delegates are meeting in the new $200m (£127m) AU headquarters, funded and built by China, which was officially opened on Saturday.
I'm sure the Chinese are very concerned about gay rights in Africa -- that must be where the concern came from.
Ban Ki-moon is a South Korean.
DeleteI don't think the Chinese give a flying fig for gay rights in Africa ...
Just for the record...
DeleteYes, I know he's Korean.
And yes, I'm sure the Chinese don't give a crap about gay rights in Africa. They're too busy getting access to, or outright acquiring, important minerals there.
It's only emasculated western countries that e.g. put people like Hillary Clinton in charge of foreign affairs that bring up nonsense like that. As if that continent didn't have more pressing problems (not that I think persecution of gays is appropriate). And as if the Africans would welcome being lectured about it.

ReplyDeleteCorrect link to the BBC story here. Sorry.
And now, and to be on topic for a change, a few words about Professor Fozdar: she's full of shit. And an ingrate (as was already pointed out). But she only bothered to produce this asinine 'study' because beforehand she knew 1) what the conclusion would be, and 2) the media would welcome and publish the finding.
So she's in large company.

ReplyDeleteIt is indeed a Leftist house of cards except in the important sense that Stephen Pinker and I make about moral equality. No matter how bad the effects of diversity get, we should respect the moral and legal equality of blacks. The fact that Darwin clearly suffered over was the realization that culture would create conditions such as slavery that conjoined diverse races whose differences had to translate into abuse, hostility, and chaos. The West now reverses course and celebrates diversity upon the myth of biological equality. It literally invites its own destruction.
Many ordinary people are patsies for Leftist propaganda and our children are fed daily a diet of absolute lies re MLK being the GREATEST as well as assorted tales about the Tuskegee Airmen, etc. Such disinformation makes victims of all Americans under 40 because they lack the critical thinking skills, the information, and the skepticism of a Steyn, Buchanan, or Taylor. This pernicious myth is so treasured by blacks and their liberal army that science needs its own army to eventually eviscerate the Left. It will be a tough struggle. Who commands the schools commands the future!
Even Stephen Pinker tends to avoid this topic in public. He knows better but remains a popular writer partly because he escapes controversy. Until people like him develop courage our course is uphill. When my book finds a major publisher I will begin to think differently. Right now it is praised by the best scientists in the world-mostly older men- and ignored by nearly all younger intellectuals.
Dr Troost, is your book available in some other way?
DeleteBy the way, I agree that HBD does not require we compromise on the dignity of anyone, irrespective of race or gender, and it is critical we make this point to buttress our stance that (unlike the Left) we are not driven by hatred, but by a legitimate concern for our own survival, the protection of our own homelands, and pride in the very Western Civilization which promotes the humane treatment and moral equivalence of all people.

The "australian" professor, Ms. Fozdar, should clearly be neither a.) a professor, or b.) an australian. If she wants to harangue the people who admitted her to their nation and make possible her comfortable sinecure, she should be expelled back to her own land.
ReplyDeleteI recently saw "The Iron Lady". There is a jaw-dropping scene at the beginning, as the elderly, now in-retirement Mrs. T slips her guards and handlers and goes to a market to buy milk, and everyone around her is either, east-asian, pakistani, or african. In another scene, her father is shown giving a speech at a 1940s Tory political meeting, and says "We are not all equal; we never will be." On the whole, it was a rather sympathetic portrait of the traditional Britain and of Thatcher (and I realize that she was not really the nationalist she was made out to be). I wondered if the the director and writer were slipping in a few rather un-PC points. Being entertainment people, I assume that they are conventionally leftish. Perhaps, even among such people as them, it is beginning to seep in that Britain, in losing it's britishness, is losing something valuable.
Britain is not only losing something valuable, it is losing something irreplaceable, which is a millenia-old culture; indeed, as a result of a slow-fuse ethnic cleansing, Britain is losing the very people who own the country.

ReplyDeleteMy book is available at www.apesorangels.com or Amazon.com Look at the review by Razib at my website. It is a good one by a highly competent geneticist. The 2008 revision was edited by the great geneticist James F. Crow, who just died on Jan 4 and has a new Institute for the Study of Evolution named after him at U. of Wisconsin. Crow fully supported our HBD position but worried much about racial discord. Please openly discuss the book at appropriate blogs. Thanks for your interest.
Martin B:
Interesting comments on the MT movie because the New Hollywood is seething with extreme Leftism.Iam amazed at the showboating by intelligent artists whose arrogance matches that of the Hip-Hop idiots whose "art" is pure vulgarity. Movies these days elevate no-one except the poor but the "save the world" actor-millionaires rarely grovel in poverty more than a few days. The British notion of hierarchy was historically valuable and culturally concordant with the Darwinian reality of diversity that provided the biological counterpart for superior human resources.Brit military leadership was often elitist risk-takers whose courage helped expand their empire. The Brits produced much to be proud of and may hopefully rescue some sense of the qualities that once were embodied in the aristocratic class. Models are significant in all cultures but the idea of diversity-carried to extremes-can destroy the very basis for cultural progress. Some degree of elitism is healthy and critical in human progress. Differences count and should be respected in all free societies. PC policing and propaganda will produce a feeble, lying culture of fake equality. Dominated by Leftist myths we will forget the symbolic importance of Washington, Lincoln, Churchell, and Thatcher as we clonishly subsist in a prolitarian ritual of equality that violates our very Constitution. Freedom of speech is essential to all important discourse at the heart of human nature. Biological diversity must precede cultural differences and should be cultivated in all societies wishing to enhance their human resources.

Thanks for the link to the review. I would have to mostly disagree with Mr. Kirkpatrick about the movie (I agree with him about the reality and the consequences of Mrs. Thatcher's premiership - the americanization of their politics) - I didn't get that sense of the movie at all. As Steve Sailer pointed out, it had a very feminine sensibility - being more concerned with her personal life rather than her political life. What struck me was that, to the degree it mentioned her politics at all, it did not seem to be hostile or condemnatory, as I might had have expected. Perhaps I am too quick to see an un-PC message in a movie, given how uncommon that is nowadays, but I don't think so in this case. Kirkpatrick is right in saying that focusing on her dementia and bewilderment is a tack that would not be taken if the subject had been Mandela, or Castro, or any other darling of the left.
