American English Teacher Abuses and Assaults Koreans
By popular demand, here's the viral video of a black American abusing and assaulting a Korean couple - in Korea. In the tradition of BBB, the shocking thing here isn't the behavior of the black man, but the fact that he didn't get jumped and beaten to a pulp by the Korean men on the bus. What, no solidarity? This guy could cause a diplomatic incident.

This incoherent creep is an English teacher? He's certainly giving the Koreans an educational experience, although not one they may have cared to sign up for.
ReplyDeleteWonder what, if any, actual credentials he has to teach the subject. It's a frightening thought that he could end up here in the US as a so-called "teacher".

ReplyDeleteI always assumed that *some* aspects of segregation were simply there to humiliate blacks, with the prime example being the whole 'back of the bus' thing. But with this, the 'Epic Beard Man' incident, the Soulja Girl on Marta, and the SF Muni fight between an African American woman and a Chinese Woman, I am beginning to think that there were reasons behind that policy too. Doesn't mean I endorse it, just saying maybe it wasn't purely punitive.

ReplyDeleteOver the years I've concluded that russian style terror seems to be the only thing that blacks respect and fear. It's too bad because the russian way of dealing with these things is pretty barbaric ( random innocents getting seriously hurt or worse). Yet young black males are so out of control that nothing else seems to work at keeping them civilized.

ReplyDeleteBlacks or not, all assholes quickly learn not to behave this way in Russia. There is a very strong stigma attached to violence (in public, at least) against women and elderly. Behaving this way is running a good chance of being beaten up. Waiting for police to arrive and sort things out is not a sensible option there.

ReplyDeleteTo believe that it was to "humiliate blacks" and "punitive" is to accept the leftist lie that whites were morally depraved sick freaks who got off on lynching blacks or something.
What it actually tells you in reality is that human ecologies are very fragile things, and that extreme measures are required to maintain the existence of population groups in the presence of other groups separated by thousands of years of evolution on the same territory. When these measures collapse, as they inevitably seem to, something has to give and we begin to see what's been happening recently. The existence of entire groups on the territory are imperiled. They literally begin to die, they're ethnically cleansed from the territory, birth rates collapse, they're absorbed by other groups, displaced, etc.
Separate or die.

ReplyDeleteThe North, pre-civil rights, didn't have the level of formal, legal segregation and yet we don't here too much about blacks behaving badly in the North then. I suspect 1)a lot of that was deliberately forgotten or covered up 2)the police, who had a foot presence, made damn sure blacks didn't harrass whites and 3)white toughs served as a last line of defense.
^I think 3 is pretty accurate. Way back in the day, there were a lot of street tough white ethnics (Irish, Italian, Polish, etc.) who blacks were scared to brawl with. Even today black flash mobs prey on SWPLs, not northern ethnics or blue collar toughs. In the South, I'd bet that blacks are scared to flash mob the rednecks.

ReplyDeleteKeep in mind it was Brown vs. The Topeka Board of Education in 1954 that lead to the desegregation of schools. This implies there was formal segregation of the races in the North. I always like to point this out to hard core Kansans especially in Lawrence where damn near everything is called "Free State". As a Missourian this gets rather old hearing Kansans refer to "Free State" as if to show their moral superiority. When you point out they had segregated schools they shut up fast.

I am not sure about Korea, but in China, "English" teachers are for the most part not real teachers, but often bored ex-pats who are paid a minimal stipend to pair up with a few natives who've paid a relatively large amount to learn basic English.
ReplyDeleteMost of these are white men, but I've seen a few some women. They often have a marginal background, some are retired and want to "see the world," but all work cheap. It is viewed by some of the men as a way to score with local girls.
That being said, I've never seen any blacks (not saying there aren't) doing it in China. From what I've heard, Negroes are really not welcome. For obvious reasons. Most Chinese are not trustful of them, and are quite racist (a good thing) in their own way.
In this instance, why a company would even hire an obvious "hood niggah" is beyond me. My first thought was that the guy was a dependent of a US serviceman.
I am reliably informed that the first thing applicants for English teaching jobs in China have to do is provide a passport photo (in color). End of story.

ReplyDeleteI now realize what you meant, but we should always emphasize the error in conflating 'integrated' with 'freedom.' If people are not free to set boundaries within which they and like-minded others can interact or not interact as they wish then they are in servitude to something larger. It is integration, multiculturalism, which requires massive intervention by the centralized State.
A healthy society would have had every man on the bus workling to stop him. He wasn't that much bigger and was greatly outnumbered. But, just like our sick society, they just stood there, trying not to notice, only a few meekly doing anything.

In the mall next door to my office, there used to be a little Vietnamese hiar stylist. Apparently, she had learned her English from blacks and Mexicans. Her steady stream of ghetto and barrio slang, combined with her thick Viet accent, proved quite a communications challenge.

To me, this video, even more than the ubiquitous videos of American flash mobs, clearly encapsulates how spent American society really is.

My understanding is that certain European populations have been bred to avoid confrontation and certain others have been bred to seek it out.
Dennis, I am not Scottish and thus have no axe to grind with regard to Scottsmen, however I believe that the Scottish people who are originally from North of Hadrian's wall essentially were selected for violent, prickly, highly tribal, honor-bound traits. These are the people you want on your side in a violent fight - they will stick with you against all odds and fight with bravery and dedication. On the other hand, these Northern Scottsmen don't seem to do that well in a modern peaceful technological society. As has often been noted, Northern Scottsmen are the majority of the dysfunctional hillbilly types portrayed in "Winter's bone" Also Northern Scottsmen make up the core of the violent chav Glasgow culture. The Northern Scotts who live in Glasgow I believe have the highest rate of white dysfunction in the world.
At the same time, Scotts from south of Hadrian's wall were pacified, and weakened by the Roman occupation. The Romans bred out of these Southern Scotts most of their instincts towards honor, courage, tribal feelings. Southern Scotts are thus notably more passive, more able to follow orders, much more successful at inventing things, conceptualizing, working in a modern technological economy. Many of the most successful people in the world today are Southern Scotts.
Again, the experience of selective breeding under occupation made Southern Scotts much much different than Northern Scotts. It is only reasonable to assume that the many years of occupation by an outside power did the same thing to male koreans.
Dennis, Southern Scotts are characterized by high and sustained motivation level, ability to work well under pressure, and good social skills - exactly the type of undergrads that are able to get I banking analyst jobs straight out of undergrad and perform really well at those I banking jobs. A southern scott can work at an i bank and have people at the i banks that observed their performance vouch for them so they can go right in to Private equity at the end of the two year I banking analyst program.
As you know there is real money to be made in Private equity for these young men, even though they did not go to grad school.

How fucked up is it when thugs who'd be living under bridges without a huge, multi-billion dollar leg up get all the latitude they need to 'splain dey feelins.' And it is the law-abiding, the peaceful, the old and vulnerable who must constantly walk on eggshells lest they provoke a chimp-out for which they will not be allowed self-defense or retaliation.
Why instead isn't the ape minding his P's & Q's and grateful for a prosperous society which tolerates the likes of him instead of being dragged to the edge of town and told to start running? I have roots in Glasgow and have lived in both Belfast and Edinburgh as a boy; and my impression from an HBD perspective is that the latter city is a bastion of culture and intellectual progress mainly because it was the most Anglicized part of Scotland, with probably the highest admixture of Germanic blood. (At one time it was even part of a Northern English kingdom.) There is more Germanic and Scandinavian blood in the eastern and northeastern part of the country as a whole, from St. Andrew's (and its world- famous university) up to Aberdeen, as well as in Orkney and Shetland (where a Norwegian dialect was spoken until recent centuries).
ReplyDeleteBy contrast in Glasgow and in the west- northwest part of the country there is a high concentration of people of recent (i.e. 1800s onwards) Irish descent, not to mention of Scottish Gaels (known elsewhere as "Highlanders") whose ancestry is also from Ireland going back to about the time of Christ. These are generally the parts of the country with higher levels of violence and other social problems. My family on my father's side were from the slums of Glasgow, and it wasn't a lack of intelligence that was a problem amongst them -- many of them were actually remarkably intelligent and self- educated despite their poverty, and this has been my experience of the poor areas of Belfast as well. It's more a problem of temperament, of hyper-sensitivity not only to perceived slights but to external stimuli generally (which can seek solace in the consolation of drink), and an aggressive or prosecutorial attitude towards even the smallest matters in life. The upside of the sensitivity is a heightened artistic and literary temperament -- this manifests itself even at a working-class level in the notion of "patter", where others are prized for their ability to speak creatively and/or humourously -- and a kind of intellectual aggressiveness which enjoys cutting through the bullshit. There is also the famous sentimentality which the Scottish Gaels and the Irish share about the places where they were raised, etc. --What they lack is the stolidity and stoicism of the Germanic people, who from my biased perspective have an emotional detachment that makes them less pleasant company, but also makes them more productive and successful.
Interestingly I've also lived among communities in Canada populated almost exclusively by the descendants of Highlanders who have been here for 200 years, and can observe the same traits: pride, aggressiveness, above- average intelligence, artistic ability (usually expressed in music, but also in storytelling), sentimentality, etc. But there is vanishingly little crime apart from fighting, drunk driving, etc.

Your probably right but I'm profoundly disappointed by the Koreans I expected much more from them. Look at the men in the video. You can see the guy directly behind the ape looking around helplessly, hoping that somebody will step in. What kind of civilizational disease is it that turns men into this? Pathetic.
One reason for the Chinese response during the Georgetown incident may have been due to the chinese team being a professional military team. Aren't all South Korean men required to perform military service? You think that alone would have toughened them up enough that they wouldn't sit on their hands in a situation like this one.

I disagree. Stereotypes very often have alot of truth to them, and what you said is a stereotype. Im sure in the past the Koreans were a "tough" people in general...But times change. And it seems Koreans have changed to.
It wasn't to long ago that a person acting that way in public in the US in a white majority area would get beaten to a pulp. But today ? Most likely, just as the Koreans did on that bus, White folk would just sit and watch. Its the same deal with Italians and Irish. Nowadays, both groups have become passive compared to how "tough" their ancestors were a hundred years ago.
I think the Koreans have become pussies just as most Europeans [and White Americans] have become. East Asians seem to be similar to White people in that they grab onto technology and then become passive people. Blacks on the other hand seem to do the opposite and start flash mobbing using their Twitter accounts to organize their sprees of violence. As for seeming to excuse his actions via the race card, if they can do that then it ought to be OK for me to say 'Yeah, you may be right -- everything considered, perhaps we have to cut niggers some slack'. After all, I'm just a redneck who doesn't know any better.
In Scotland they are called Neds, not Chavs. As for the Scot-descended in Canada, the denizens of Appalachia have a similar reputation and are predominantly Scotch-Irish.
ReplyDeleteScotland probably has the most serious case of brain drain in the history of the world which I'm sure contributes to the current climate of the country. I'm sure Andrew Carnegie could have done a lot more for his homeland, but at the time there were greener pastures, as just one prominent example. There have been easily accessible greener pastures for bright Scots for at least a century and a half now at least.
The same can't be said of blacks in America. Nor is the scope of their antisocial behavior of a kind with the Scots in question.

Could an ethnographer interview both types of Scotts and validate the thesis that almost all the violent and dysfunctional ones are from North of Hadrian's wall and almost all of the productive and functional ones are from South of the wall?

ReplyDeleteSince the course of Hadrian's Wall at times ventures dozens of miles into what is now England, it's a fair bet to say that all Scots are from north of the Wall.
Generally, North Americans who are interested in their Scottish heritage but who cannot find specific individual records (such as birth, marriage, or death) pertaining to their ancestors try to track down the geographic origin of their surname or of the other surnames used in their extended family. In most cases there will still be a preponderance of their surname in the same place in Scotland where it originated or, at the very least, were it has been recorded for several hundred years.

I think the passengers on that bus might easily have been under the impression the American was on drugs, which might explain both his behaviour and their reluctance to take him in hand.

Scots have an excellent record of achievement esp. in engineering and the sciences in contrast to their highland counterparts. Given that scots is a germanic language, this strongly indicates that their genetic heritage may have played a role in this success. I think Galton even considered them to be more accomplished than the english.
However the disorderly hillbillies of West Virginia and elsewhere as depicted are descended from the scots-irish. They, in turn, originally came form around the border region between England and Scotland. Their language (ulster scots is germanic) and surnames (e.g Elliott) reflect this.

ReplyDeleteAs for the TNB, I have not seen the video, but read somewhere that it justified its behavior with "I felt he was talking raciss stuff about blacks" or something to that effect.
That is a pretty clear example of the inversion you see with racism. This comes about by way of projection. See, DWLs think blacks are differently-colored whites and so project their own propensity against violence and disorder onto blacks. But blacks just use it as an excuse, a fig leaf to cover their own violent nature.
It's hard to overestimate how much of a role projection plays in all this. Not only do fish assume everything lives in water, but they don't even know they assume it.

I’m sure there has been a project going on for some time now to make it appear that Black people are just like White people underneath, maybe even more noble and responsible than White people. At first it started as a novelty. Create a Black character who is intelligent and cultured and have him show up the White people in the story – Sidney Poitier in To Sir, With Love comes to mind but there have been many, many others. People would watch and be entertained by these unlikely stories. Oh it was so novel. Then someone got the idea that maybe if Black people were constantly depicted this way in TV and movies, life would begin to imitate art. Culture distortion at work - wouldn’t it be great if it worked? In nearly all shows and movies Black characters are just like outstanding White people with black faces. They have better manners, dress better, talk better and are generally more cultured and self sacrificing than your average White. Hell, they’re practically Aryan. How could anyone countenance making them sit at the back of the bus? Unfortunately in the real world things didn’t quite work out the way it was planned. Or maybe the project hasn’t completed yet and we are in an awkward transitional stage.

RE: English teacher;
ReplyDeleteIf it works the same way in Korea that it does in Japan, he's probably a 'conversational English' teacher, rather than a professional one. A serious English teacher in a foreign country would have to know the native language, my impression being that he doesn't. Conversational English teachers are the just out of college types that don't need more than their degree. In Japan, they get paid very little and generally have little social status. Korea might be different, being less established. The companies that do the teaching are multinational. I looked into doing this in Japan at one time, but thought better of it.

Take me, for instance. My gramma was a well-fed farm woman with a size 22 bottom. Now, I'm a homely pup, to be sure, but Olive-Oyl thin I was in my youth, and even now in middle age, I'm 5' 8" and I only wear a size 10.
My daughter? Thin, blonde and beautiful. (And, no, you can't have her. I don't like your attitude.)

Did you read the articles?
There were likely no males there to protect the women because the Japanese took them all for soldiers. Likely only old men and children.

ReplyDeleteIt has long been the case that a man who signs paternity papers for a child is saddled with child support even if later the child is proven to be the result of cuckoldry.
Increasingly men are put in a position where they are unable to find stable relationships with fertile women who do not already have children sired by other men. There is no cuckoldry involved here of course -- but there is a degree of coercion favoring men who would have previously been paramours. The politically correct quasi-religious attitudes that "genes don't matter" pervading Western society make it unacceptable to rationally compensate for this selection bias.
The selection pressures building in the West for deception, both of the self and others -- seems to be attacking the very foundation of what makes humans human.
You can have civilization or you can have Blacks, but not both.
